Sawley Parish Council are once again promoting the planting of daffodil bulbs ready for Spring next year.
Our photo shows local parish Councillors planting bulbs near the Coop, on Draycott Road. Other locations in Sawley will be planted in the coming weeks. Sawley's Rainbow Guides also assisted with the bulb planting - taking on Lakeside Park off Tamworth Road.

Sawley Parish Council Meeting September 2021
There will be a meeting of the Sawley Parish Council held on Tuesday 28th September beginning at 19:00.
The meeting will be held at the New Sawley Methodist Church, Tamworth Road.
Members of the public are welcome to attend but if they would prefer to not they may bring issues/concerns to the Clerk by emailing clerk@sawleyparishcouncil.org.uk

Sawley Parish Council's act of Remembrance 2021
Sawley Parish Council have given the go ahead for a full act of Remembrance Service this year and it will be held at Sawley Memorial on Sunday 14th November at 11am.
It's hoped that there won't be any Covid restrictions in place, but attendees are being asked to wear a face covering until the actual service begins.

This evenings meeting of the Sawley Parish Council has been cancelled due to raised concerns over the recent outbreak of Covid - 19 at the local secondary school and the implications of holding an in person meeting.

No Increase in Parish Council Tax 2021/22
Sawley Parish Council has confirmed there will be no increase in their council tax for the financial 2021/22.
This is the second year running that the new administration has not increased its council tax.

RIP Captain Sir Tom Moore
The Chair & Vice Chair of Sawley Parish Council, Cllr Alan Chewings & Dave Doyle authorised the lowering of Sawley's community flag to fly at half mast until Monday - to show respect and remembrance to Captain Sir Tom Moore, who sadly passed away yesterday.
