Sawley Parish Council's act of Remembrance 2021

Sawley Parish Council have given the go ahead for a full act of Remembrance Service this year and it will be held at Sawley Memorial on Sunday 14th November at 11am.

It's hoped that there won't be any Covid restrictions in place, but attendees are being asked to wear a face covering until the actual service begins.

Sawley Parish Council have put in place - road closure notices, for the duration of the service on Tamworth Road.

Church groups, community & voluntary groups, as well as residents are being invited to attend the act of remembrance.

Once again the Parish Council have decided to give prominence to a veteran to lay the first wreath, they are also inviting a woman & man to lay a wreath at the new silhouettes depicting the sacrifice of so many during all conflicts.

Safety Marshall's, first aiders, PA system and a bugler will also be in place. It's also hoped that a choir will be able to join us at the Remembrance Service.

If anyone wants to lay a wreath during the service - can they please advise the Clerk to the Parish Council accordingly

The Parish Council will be keeping a close eye on any Covid advice issued by the Government.

The service will be advertised widely in the community by means of the Autumn Parish Newsletter.
